Are you caring for a loved one with MND?
*Sessions run on Mondays for five consecutive weeks.

This five-week program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to care for a loved one with MND.
The program will support you to maintain a strong emotional foundation and assist you in coming to terms with the changes that are taking place in your life.
What to expect
Each session will be facilitated by MNDAWA Education Facilitator, Julie Craig-Smith with counselling support from Karen Brown.
The program will start with a warm and informative introduction with each week building on the support provided while educating participants on elements of MND and the associated care.
- Understanding of MND and the support provided by MNDAWA.
- Movement and transferring techniques.
- Respiratory support including swallowing, nutrition and breathing.
- Communication and assistive technology.
- Coping with changes taking place - discussing the planning, financial and support requirements you may need to consider.
Venue: Dome Café, Deep Water Point (private function room)

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Session times: All sessions run from 11.00am – 1.30pm
Dates: Monday 21 and 28 October, 4, 11 and 18 November
